FINAL TITAN SERIES WEEKEND RECAP 🏁
We’re sorry for the delay on the racing recap — we’ve been a little busy putting cars back together!
The weekend of September 18–20, we attended the final round of the 2026 NorthEast Titan .25 Quarter Midget Racing Series at Garden State Quarter Midget Racing Club. With this being Jackson’s last-ever Titan race after joining the series in 2019, we wanted nothing more than to go out on a high note.
Unfortunately, as many people said throughout the weekend, it wouldn’t be a Marks car on the track without everything that could go wrong going wrong.
🏁 Heavy Honda: The car fought Jackson pretty much all day, no matter what changes we made. He ended up in the B Main, where traffic and a few bumps ultimately kept him from finishing in a transfer spot.
After that first heartbreak, Jackson took his retirement laps around the track. But we’ll save those moments for a separate post.
🏁 Heavy World Formula: Later in the afternoon, we started the Briggs portion of the show. Jackson took his Heavy World out and was feeling pretty confident, working his way from 8th to 5th in his heat!
Heading into the feature, we were feeling really good about the setup and ready to see what he could do. Of course, our old bad luck in this class decided it needed one final appearance.
About 5–10 laps into the feature, the bolts connecting the exhaust to the motor decided to completely walk themselves out. Jackson was unable to finish the race and, unfortunately, ended his Titan regional career watching from the pits.
Obviously, this is not how we wanted Jackson’s final regional race to go. But despite the MANY highs and lows, heartbreaks, breakdowns, and long weekends over the years, we are still incredibly grateful for everything this series has given us.
The friendships, memories, lessons, and experiences we’ve gained since Jackson joined in 2019 will always mean so much to us.
This may be the end of Jackson’s Titan regional career, but we’re not quite done racing yet!
We’re planning to run a few fun races to close out our Quarter Midget days, and we’re already looking ahead to the next one!
