As some of you may have heard, Warrior Ranch, as a training facility, is being sold to the University of Alabama as a training facility for their police department. This decision was not done lightly, but Henry cannot continue to keep the facility running at his high standards as he wishes on his own for much longer. We are happy that the facilities will continue to be used to help us protect each other in some capacity.
So, it's been ten years since I posted this crazy idea about building a place where we can safely teach, learn, and build some memories together as a community. Our family has grown to over 2,100 members and 200,000+ visitors spanning the past 10 years as our Warrior Ranch family has grown to what it is today.
We have helped various local and State law enforcement agencies from 29 different departments train, maintain their APOST qualifications, and choose the equipment they use every day to keep the peace, a rigorous task these men and women do daily. They deserve the best we have to offer for support, because they give us their best every day. I am especially grateful for the mentorship of Brookwood Police Department Chief Jimmy Sellers, and Alabama Game Warden Cliff Quinn.
As a Alabama State Certified Hunter's Education Facility, we are proud of our small part in ensuring that a uniquely American tradition that is passed on to our children, as well as the uniquely American tradition of a Constitutional right to keep and bear arms. We are worthy of that right given to us by our forefathers, and we must strive to earn the right to keep that right to pass on to our children every day. There are those in our country that do not think we are responsible enough, and wish to take that right away, one "small" piece of legislation at a time. That is very much like the banks and officials that deemed such a project as Warrior Ranch Training Center "too dangerous" to invest in...and we thoroughly enjoyed proving them wrong, every day with every customer.
So, where does that leave us? Warrior Ranch will continue to exist, but as a mobile training service instead of a one-stop-shop. Ranges will no longer be available to the public after 23 April, 2023. The shop will close to the public on 30 April. All fi****ms that are being repaired will be repaired by then. Those customers that still have an NFA item waiting for their tax stamp have two choices. They can leave the NFA item with Warrior Ranch if they think they are close to getting the tax stamp issued to the before 31 MAY 2023, then you can leave it at Warrior Ranch and just complete the ATF Form 4 to transfer possession as normal. If you do not anticipate the tax stamp arriving before then (especially if i has not been certified as of yet), then we recommend coordinating with Henry to transfer the NFA item (requesting an ATF Form 3) to another Class III dealer of your choice. We will not charge for filing the paperwork, but if there are any charges for shipping or on the receiving dealer, we have no control over that.
So, with a heavy heart, we are at the end of the crazy dream that is called Warrior Ranch Training Center. We are currently changing the legal papers to morph into Warrior Ranch Training Services, as we hope to continue to help and empower Americans for many years to come. More information will follow as the dates become clearer.
Thank you for everything.
