FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
On September 5th, 2025, H2o Dreams Paddling School will conclude operations permanently.
We want to offer gratitude to everyone who has contributed officially to its successes over the past 14 years, and unofficially since its inception long before. The burdens we bear due to Hurricane Helene are just too great to endure. These hardships are not merely financial, they are deeply personal to us.
Existing as a small business is a constant expedition—a journey filled with challenges and hard-earned milestones. True endurance isn’t fueled by fear; it’s sustained by love, drive, compassion, community, and purpose. At times, one of these pillars may waver while we press on, but when hardships become overwhelming, it’s easy to lose sight of those intentions. Still, we did our best—with what we knew, what we had, and with the help we received.
The beauty is that we will not simply disappear. The impact we’ve made among paddlers, communities, organizations, and within ourselves will carry forward into every aspect of our lives. H2O Dreams may no longer be named directly, but the philosophy and mission it embodied will leave a lasting imprint. We loved leading and teaching by your side, and we cherished watching from behind as you chose your own line. Our students—scratch that, our partners—were given the tools and confidence to pursue their passions and dreams.
Not every contribution will be remembered with a hashtag or a name drop. Instead, it lives in the father and daughter who learned to paddle with H2O Dreams a decade apart, both thriving on the river. It lives in the junior instructor who now subtly shapes sound decision-making among peers on the water. It lives in the quiet, understated student who waited their turn to become not only an exceptional paddler, but also a teacher.
We are proud of the space we created for people—so they could learn to create that space for themselves.
With love and gratitude, thank you for the space you provided us.
Future news of our closing procedures and plans will be forthcoming.
