Hey everyone, this is Jordan. Recently, I've had the opportunity to tell a lot more about my musical journey throughout my life outside of owning Fitness Kings. I thought some of my members might be interested in knowing a little more of what I do when I'm not working out and managing our small but MIGHTY gym :)
"For a while now, my band Hayfire has been requested to put together a streamlined Bio for everyone in the band to put on our website and on social media. I love that I am the first one in the band to hit the Interwebs ☺️
I decided to keep the Bio pretty short, but after reading it, there is still so much I would like to add.
One thing would be how special the town of Salt Springs is, and how blessed I am to still live here, and be able to raise my family in such a small but strong community. Salt Springs has given so much to me, and I really hope I can continue to give back to this community, because I damn sure ain’t going to leave this amazing town.
I also would like to show my appreciation to all the musicians that took so much time with me when I was just starting to develop my skills on guitar. Anthony Sferlazza, Fender Gibson, Cajon David Becnel, Rob Crocker, Randy Wilkinson, to name a few. The fact that I had access to these exceptional players made such an impact on me at such a young age.
This musical upbringing paved a path for me to play with such an incredible amount of artist, singers and musicians over the years, but most importantly the lifelong relationships that were built because of our shared love for music and the joy it brings to everyone. There’s too many friends/musicians to tag in this category, but you know who you are.
Lastly, I want to give a shout out to the ones closest to me. My Dad George King has ALWAYS supported my musical journey, even when the probability of me being successful in the industry looked very bleak. He is the EPITOME of a Father. He has always supported, steered, and kicked my ass hard when I was veering off course. I’m in the top .01% of fortunate sons.
Also, I want to give so much love and thanks to my Wife Nichole. All these paths eventually led me to you and Brayden, and that’s why I wouldn’t change a freaking thing about my life. I’ve hopefully got a lot more to accomplish in my life and damn sure got a lot more growing to do, but I know for a fact, I am a better Man because of you and Brayden."

My name is Jordan King and I’m 37 years old. I am happily married to my wife Nichole King and raising our son Brayden who is 8 years old.
I joined forces with Hayfire in August of 2015, and what a ride it’s been for almost the past 10 years.
When I am not gigging with HF, I run a small family fitness center called "Fitness Kings" in Salt Springs FL, which is in the heart of the Ocala National Forest. I consider myself beyond blessed that I have two careers that I enjoy tremendously.
When I was 12 years old, I made a determined decision that I was going to learn how to play guitar. For that first year, I practiced a minimum of 5 hours a day EVERY DAY. I was extremely lucky that my Uncle Mar owned a restaurant in my hometown of Salt Springs and had live entertainment there every Thursday and Sunday evening. So from the age of 13 to about 16, I was allowed to join and play with professional musicians every week. There are too many to mention, but they all took me under their wing, and taught me so much about guitar, and music theory. They all ended up nicknaming me “THE SPONGE” because every week they showed me something, the following week I would come back and basically have it mastered.
By the age of 16, I had learned enough to step outside my Uncle’s restaurant and started playing with other projects professionally. It’s hard to believe that I have been doing this for over 20 years now.
I’ve had many influences, but the main person that inspired me to actually make music a career would be my Dad. While growing up, he never left the house without his acoustic guitar. My dad George King is an excellent singer and can definitely hold his own on guitar too. If it weren’t for him and my Uncle Mar giving me the opportunity to play with so many seasoned musicians at such a young age, I don’t know if I would have made it as a career musician.
Q&A
🔥 What Instrument did you start playing VS what you play now?
So I started on guitar, but I’m also an accomplished Bass player as well. I spent almost 8 years solely playing bass and also dabbled in mandolin and banjo, but my heart is really it’s happiest on guitar.
🔥 What was my favorite gig ever?
There’s been many memorable gigs, but the one that always comes to mind for me is Hayfire’s first gig at Latitudes in Margaritaville. The date was 2/2/22. Also, it was on the holiday National Margarita DAY and every single woman and many men were wearing TUTUs! I will never forget that gig EVER.
🔥 My favorite country song?
Well that’s a toughie. I scrolled through a bunch of my country playlist and the one that really jumped out at me is HARD WORKING MAN by B@D. Especially while working out at my gym, that one ALWAYS fires me up.
🔥 My Favorite Artist of all time?
Songwriter would be Jamey Johnson. Guitarist would be Stevie Ray Vaughan.
🔥 My Favorite song to perform with HF?
There’s many, but I always get real excited for SHOOT ME STRAIGHT by Brothers Osborne
🔥 How do I fit my Big Ass in them Jeans?
To be honest, I don’t have a clue. It defies the laws of Physics.
