When I moved from Florida to Utah, I thought I’d really miss the beach.
But Utah has a way of taking your breath away before nostalgia has a chance to settle in.
I kept hearing about this pink lake and knew I had to see it for myself. It was even more beautiful than I imagined.✨😍
And that’s not sand beneath my feet. It’s salt… sparkling like tiny crystals scattered across the earth. 🧂💖✨
I won’t pretend the last two years have been easy. Changing your entire life rarely is.
There were months when I wondered if I’d ever feel like my happy self again. Months of grief, uncertainty, and trying to find solid ground in a life that suddenly looked nothing like the one I knew.
What I’ve learned is that sometimes you have to let go of who you were before you can fully step into who you’re becoming.
I feel like I’ve lived several lifetimes in the past two years (and aged like 10+ years🫠)!
Sometimes I look at old photos and videos and think, “Who is that woman?” Not because I don’t recognize her, but because she belongs to a chapter that feels so far away now.
I feel happy again but it’s different. It feels almost like a a sigh of relief. I feel safe and grounded.💕
I turn 52 this month, which honestly is crazy. When did that happen? Seems like yesterday I was celebrating 50!🤯
I am so grateful though. Birthdays are a blessing.
For me, aging isn’t about getting older; it’s about shedding past versions of myself that no longer serve me, so I can become the woman I was always meant to be. 🩵
