LONE PEAK CONDITIONS REPORT:
As of 5/24 the trail to Enniss Peak is completely snow free. Enniss to the gully below the cirque has some snow but is easily avoidable and melting rapidly. Approaching the Cirque proper is very snowy but can be navigated on the scrambly left side path with minimal snow travel. Standard cirque camp sites are mostly buried in snow still, but many options exist on the rocky outcrops on climbers left of the gully and meadow.
Pete’s Staircase and Question Mark Wall as well as the technical descent from South Summit wall still have a LOT of snow on them. Lone Peak proper and South Summit wall require a steep snow approach - micro spikes or ultralight crampons would be very helpful if you are not comfortable with steep snow travel. Be especially cautious approaching routes early in the day as the snow will be more firm.
Descending from all summits will currently require some degree of snow travel.
Most rock is dry and good to go! Water is plentiful. Just be careful on those snowy approaches / descents, and remember to pack out all waste.
