me 🤝 stretching

I think what had me curious about yoga in the first place was the idea of taking stretching to the next level. Yoga isn’t just stretching, it is definitely a workout of its own, but I love the way it helps to loosen and open up my muscles. I did dance all through high school and could’ve lost all flexibility after I stopped, but I decided to keep my simple ten minute stretch routine going each day, not only to keep the flexibility I had worked so hard to earn but to continue feeling the mental opening it gives me too.

If you find it hard to get on your mat and get any kind of tough workout in, I invite you to focus on stretching, even if only for ten minutes a day. In my opinion, it’s the best place to start because it is incredibly beneficial to your overall health (improves posture and sleep, lowers stress levels, relieves pain, increases mobility and range of motion, circulates blood flow, and so much more).
