As we approach the start of the appeals period, I would like to provide a brief reminder regarding the process for submitting a player appeal.

Please be advised that appeal decisions typically take approximately 4–6 weeks to process.

Providing as much detailed and accurate information as possible will help facilitate a more timely review of your appeal.

Additionally, please note that the appeal submission button on a player’s profile will become available on January 1stand will be removed on February 1st.

What an awesome day of softball! The weather actually cooperated — even if it tried to freeze us out this morning and again the second the sun decided to clock out!

Huge congrats to LOD, staying undefeated and holding strong even after Rampage/Bay Area came swinging in the ship trying to shake things up!

Major shoutout to Spilt Milk for a killer run and snagging 3rd place — y’all were rolling!

And Bunt Cakes… sheesh! They did their thing and took the drop-down bracket! Legacy definitely made them earn every bit of it!

Thank you to EVERY team and player who came out, played hard, donated, and supported an amazing cause. Days like this remind us why we do it! ❤️🥎

🎄 UGLY SWEATER COED, MEN’S & WOMEN’S BRACKETS, RULES & GUIDELINES – This Weekend in Orem! 🎅

We are beyond grateful for the incredible support we’ve received for this event! We’re extremely excited for the opportunity to help kids at Primary Children’s Hospital through all the donations gathered this weekend.

🧥 Donation Reminder:
If you plan to donate coats, snow pants, or blankets, please note that Primary Children’s Hospital can only accept NEW items.

However, used coats, snow pants, blankets, beanies, and gloves are still very welcome and will be donated to the Women & Children’s Shelter in Salt Lake City.

Utah USSSA Hall of Fame – Criteria (Draft)

First Induction Class: 2026

The Utah USSSA Hall of Fame is established to recognize individuals who have made a significant, long-lasting impacton the Utah USSSA softball community. Inductees should represent excellence, sportsmanship, leadership, and dedication.

We are currently considering two categories:

Category 1: Player / Manager / Coach
General Requirements (at least one must apply):

Minimum 10 years of involvement in Utah USSSA softball

Demonstrated excellence, leadership, and sportsmanship

Significant positive impact on the Utah USSSA community

Must be in good standing with Utah USSSA
Player Criteria (examples):

Consistently demonstrated outstanding playing ability

Recognized for sportsmanship, teamwork, and character

Contributed to multiple championship-level teams (state, regional, or national)

Has made measurable contributions to the growth of Utah USSSA softball

Manager / Coach Criteria:

Proven leadership and strong influence on players

History of developing successful, competitive, and respected teams

Known for positive sportsmanship and representing USSSA values

Contributions to the growth and longevity of teams or programs in Utah

Category 2: Director / UIC / Umpire

General Requirements (at least one must apply):

Minimum 8–10 years of service to Utah USSSA

Demonstrated exceptional dedication to growing and improving Utah USSSA events

Must be in good standing with Utah USSSA

Director Criteria:

Significant contributions to Utah USSSA operations or program expansion

Successful management of tournaments, leagues, or special events

Demonstrated leadership, organization, and service to the community

Helped improve the USSSA experience for teams, coaches, umpires, or families

UIC (Umpire-in-Chief) Criteria:

Effective leadership and mentorship of the umpire staff

Contributions to umpire training, retention, and overall improvement

Ensured quality, consistency, and fairness in officiating at USSSA events

Umpire Criteria:
Demonstrated professionalism and excellence in officiating

Service at major events (state, regional, World Series, etc.)

Respected by peers, coaches, and players
Long-term commitment and positive representation of USSSA

Additional Considerations (All Categories)

Community involvement and contributions to the sport beyond regular duties
Integrity, character, and representation of USSSA values

Extraordinary achievements or contributions may override time-in-service minimums

Nomination Process (recommended)

Anyone may nominate an eligible individual

We’ve had several teams reach out about adding Men’s and Women’s Divisions for our Ugly Sweater Event — and we’re making it happen!

📅 Date: Sunday, November 23rd

📍 Location: Lakeside Park, Orem

We’ll need a minimum of 8 Men’s teams and 4 Women’s teams for those divisions to be playable.

💰 Cost: $300 per team

⚾ Format: 3-Game Guarantee (3GG)

👕 Rosters: League-style rosters are allowed
