Utah USSSA Hall of Fame – Criteria (Draft)
First Induction Class: 2026
The Utah USSSA Hall of Fame is established to recognize individuals who have made a significant, long-lasting impacton the Utah USSSA softball community. Inductees should represent excellence, sportsmanship, leadership, and dedication.
We are currently considering two categories:
Category 1: Player / Manager / Coach
General Requirements (at least one must apply):
Minimum 10 years of involvement in Utah USSSA softball
Demonstrated excellence, leadership, and sportsmanship
Significant positive impact on the Utah USSSA community
Must be in good standing with Utah USSSA
Player Criteria (examples):
Consistently demonstrated outstanding playing ability
Recognized for sportsmanship, teamwork, and character
Contributed to multiple championship-level teams (state, regional, or national)
Has made measurable contributions to the growth of Utah USSSA softball
Manager / Coach Criteria:
Proven leadership and strong influence on players
History of developing successful, competitive, and respected teams
Known for positive sportsmanship and representing USSSA values
Contributions to the growth and longevity of teams or programs in Utah
Category 2: Director / UIC / Umpire
General Requirements (at least one must apply):
Minimum 8–10 years of service to Utah USSSA
Demonstrated exceptional dedication to growing and improving Utah USSSA events
Must be in good standing with Utah USSSA
Director Criteria:
Significant contributions to Utah USSSA operations or program expansion
Successful management of tournaments, leagues, or special events
Demonstrated leadership, organization, and service to the community
Helped improve the USSSA experience for teams, coaches, umpires, or families
UIC (Umpire-in-Chief) Criteria:
Effective leadership and mentorship of the umpire staff
Contributions to umpire training, retention, and overall improvement
Ensured quality, consistency, and fairness in officiating at USSSA events
Umpire Criteria:
Demonstrated professionalism and excellence in officiating
Service at major events (state, regional, World Series, etc.)
Respected by peers, coaches, and players
Long-term commitment and positive representation of USSSA
Additional Considerations (All Categories)
Community involvement and contributions to the sport beyond regular duties
Integrity, character, and representation of USSSA values
Extraordinary achievements or contributions may override time-in-service minimums
Nomination Process (recommended)
Anyone may nominate an eligible individual

Summary of contributions and achievements
Supporting details or testimonials
