Officially Trauma Informed Yoga Certified. Have been educating myself on how to better hold safe spaces for students who've been through traumatic events and how energy and emotion is held in our bodies. The reality is everyone experiences trauma in one form or another. But how humans hold these experiences and process them.... vary from person to person. 🧡 I believe in each soul humans right to healing.
After 2 ducks get into a fight they separate and each go their own way, each duck will vigorously shake out their feathers...why? they are releasing the last bit of energy they have built up in their bodies. To let it go and as to not let it weigh them down. To be at peace. As humans we have long suppressed this "release" instead holding our emotions, clenched jaws, tensed shoulders, never releasing. Its okay though many of us weren't taught any differently. Relearning is possible. Breathe deep.

Hi Friends, As I complete another orbit around the sun this coming weekend.. I decided one way I would love to celebrate this past year is by sharing the practice that has brought me so much peace, grounding and presence-- Yoga. On Saturday the 4th and Monday the 6th Ill be hosting Free Yoga Sessions at some of the spots that hold special places in my heart back in Illinois. :) My hope is to see as many of my Illinois humans that I've been missing these months. One location will be based in the city and the other in the suburbs with more details to come. Im officially Certified :) so that's cool. See you all soon --Love Sandy

The 3AMs to get my filming done before work. The 4AMs to log in to Zoom Yoga.
The poses that humble me, serving as reminders of all the growth I have ahead of me.
The poses that make me feel empowered, stronger and more confident.
The Sunday Zoom Sessions that always serve as a great affirmation that its exactly what I want to do.
No pun intended but when I am doing Yoga, it feels as if am in flow with my life. Meant to be exactly where I am and doing what Im doing. I get a boost of energy thinking of all the people I have interacted thus far thanks to this practice and all the humans I'll get to help SO soon.
And it's all worth it.
