We are a laid back league, but we do play by the USGA/R&A Official Rules of Golf. Do you need to be an expert? No. But you should have a general grasp of the rules. You should know how to take relief from a cart path. You should know your options for both a red or yellow penalty areas. You should know how to deal with a ball played out of bounds (yes, we use Model Local Rule E-5). How can you gain this knowledge before next week’s Am-Am? Glad you asked. Ocean City, MD - The Lower Shore Chapter of the Mediocre Golf Association (MGA) is set to officially begin its second season of competition on Saturday, March 29, at the Links at Lighthouse Sound golf course.

Xander Schauffele won the PGA Championship yesterday. Which of our medios will claim The MGA — the season’s second major — just two weeks away at Nutters Crossing. The event is Saturday, June 1.
