Its been awhile since I posted on Yak Bonds progress.
Today we start the annual for the first time during our ownership. The last few months has been educational with our own condition inspection and found very little to squawk about. We will be rebuilding and refinishing the landing gear, repairing a fuel leak, installing a Bell crank upgraded part (steel in replacement of aluminum) , checking and possibly replacing brake parts., removing some Russian radios, as well as the other typical actions of an annual. Hopefully we can be done in a week or two. It really will depend on parts availability. I think a few Martinis (MI-6 - our twist on 007's martini) will be in order.

He's alive!! Yak Bond had a constipated cylinder after sitting a week. Had to pull a plug to drain the main thang!!

Missing opportunities to fly Yak Bond at the moment! So I decided to have a drink in its honor. Fireball, Vodka, Coca-cola, and Redbull in the same glass! Don't knock it until you try it. Dragons Breath!!

Anyone having fly-ins or static displays during the holidays?! We will have an event the last Sunday of the month starting in January next year at KSNS. Yak Bond will be featured as well as some vehicles from Enthusiast Motorsports, local car and motorcycle clubs and possibly some other vendors!! Stay tuned. This is especially for the vintage aircraft guys that want the credit for tax purposes!!

Good morning Vodkateers!!! Thanks for all the support for the first week in existence. We were supremely busy as I suspect everyone was as well. Yak Bond is slated to come home Wednesday and then I'm slated to be in Texas on Thursday!! We purchased a plane at one of the busiest times of the year for us but it was still great to experience it before end of year. I was hoping to purchase another 2 by end but offers are outstanding. I didn't make my Signature Drink that We call Dragons Breath as my son Skyler said Fire Fu**ed was to crass!! Lol. If you dare try it....one tall glass, half filled with ice, 1 shot of fireball, 1 shot of Belvedere Vodka (absolute, Skyy, or Kettle One works..avoid really cheap stuff) then topped off 50/50 with coke and Energy drink. Redbull is common but I prefer Monster or Rockstar instead. It will light you up on an empty stomach but still keep ypu up. We dont recommend Flying Aircraft immediately after since you already will be.
