Monterey County All-Star Classic The All-Star Classic features the best high school senior soccer players in the Monterey County area

The Salinas Californian All-Star Classic displays 64 high school senior soccer players in Monterey County at a local high school stadium. In 2004, Joey Delgado, then the sports editor for The Salinas Californian, teamed up with Carlos Rubio, the executive director of the All-Star Classic, to create a committee to bring back the game after it was postponed for four years. Since the All-Star game r

esumed, it has become a highlight in the high school soccer careers of the youth in our community. The 2017 Salinas Californian All-Star Classic is set to take place at Alisal High School on Sunday, March 12. Come support the youth in our community as boys and girls play their last high school soccer game of the year!
