Had a great weekend down in NC. Got to play a bunch of great courses. Had a great time playing with one of the crew from . But the hidden gem was what a good course that was. Great conditions and great greens. Fun layout and by far the best value of the trip.

Most people have heard the new about Tiger's recent accident. I wanted to post about it and some thoughts as well regarding it. I want to preference that I really do hope he is okay and will have a full recovery. I saw the interview he gave at the Genesis and I immediately texted people that he was not well. I don't base this off of who the hell am I to come up with that statement. I based if off my experience as a former mental health therapist with knowledge in addiction professionally and have seen it personally. He was not okay the other day. His tale has always been about golf greatness. Never the human. He was viewed as a machine and I am sure he took solace that he thought he was a machine. Then the oil starts to leak. The injuries happen and he can't figure out who Tiger is without golf. Most times these stories don't end well. I am not speculating that addiction had anything to do with the accident. I have no proof or reason to believe that it was. I was concerned at the Genesis for him in that interview. I do hope that in 20 years we look back at Tiger and this time when he realized he has given enough to us. He has given enough to the golf world and community and it's time for him to live for himself. What mark does he want to make on the world outside of golf. He can accomplish anything from here on out if he can find a path that doesn't require him winning anymore tournaments. As of this writing he is in surgery and I hope it all goes well and my thoughts are with him and his family. But Tiger for your sake. Enough is enough. You don't owe the media the golf community or anybody else anything. Make your mark but make it on your terms. Nobody elses.

Playing around with my new toy. The x-9 follow. Named it R2D Duke after my wonderful caddy who helped me make putts outside 2 feet including an estimated 80 footer. Looking forward to getting this following me around on the links this year.
