Vector Space had a blast at the Southern Virginia Showdown off-season FRC competition on Saturday, October 3rd! Thanks to FRC Team 1262 - The STAGS and MADawgs FIRST Robotics Team 3258 for hosting this event at Magna Vista High School in Ridgeway, Virginia. Also, thanks to all of the teams that helped us throughout the qualifier rounds.

We would like to give a big shout out to our playoff round alliances Triple Strange #1533 and Botetourt 4-H Robotics - Team 3939 for their teamwork and cooperation with us all the way through playoffs. Our alliance got first place because of our outstanding teamwork and dedication to the whole competition.

Team 10257 had some great accomplishments on the robot: we were a great contender for defense, and new members of the team quickly learned to cooperate with each other to operate and drive the robot around the court. On the downside, we flipped the robot once and managed to lose our bumpers in another match.

Everyone on the team did an outstanding job at the competition. We look forward to what comes next!

Happy FIRST Signing Day to our Seniors! 🎓

These five have left such a mark on the Vector Space Robotics Team. It will not be the same next season without their calm maturity, steadfast work ethics, artistic insights, advanced coding and manufacturing skills, and the many laughs they bring to the team. We wish them the best next year - these institutions are lucky to have them!
