It's time to start thinking about the fall trips.

So let's go to....
COZUMEL!! Big surprise, huh? But this different from our trips in the past. Check it out.

November 14 - 21,2026. SECRETS (adults only) section of Sunscape Resort, Cozumel. Farther south, but close to all the southern dive sites. Full access to 9 restaurants, 5 pools, coffee shops. Two boat dives per day through Dive House. Looong white sand beach front, great views from rooms, which are fabulous! Mini-bar refilled every night (no charge). Truly all inclusive. Additionally, there are a couple guys who will come to the boat when we get back from diving and they roll your gear up and take it to the dive shop area, rinse it, hang it, and then have it assembled in your spot the next morning at no cost. (We tipped them at the end of the week.) About $1800 for a diver, $1200 for non-diver. This is for pool view rooms (not your ordinary hotel pools) - ocean view is about $70 more for each. $300 deposit anytime. Final payment Sept. 5. LET'S GO!

For all the folks who volunteered to help with the cleaning project tomorrow - it is on hold. We didn't want to take a chance on someone slipping, sliding, or getting slid into (unless you are on the sledding hill!) We haven't determined a new date yet, but it will be soon. There is also a chance that it will be an evening job, possibly during the week - maybe 6pm-ish. I'll put that info out as soon as I get it!

Two things -

First, Aquatrek will be closed this Saturday, Jan. 17 due to family and business obligations. NOrmal hours on Friday and Monday.

Second - CALL OUT TO THE CLEANING CREW! SATURDAY, JAN. 24 AT 8 AM (AS USUAL) UNTIL NOON. We need 9 or more to do it right. and of course if we finish early, there is play time! Free Air, free gear if you need it. Contact the shop and let me know!

We've all heard about the tanks that failed hydro in the 1980's. It was a very small lot from a specific manufacturer. There are still lots of aluminum pre-1989 tanks in use. To be fully certified, they need to have the eddy current test run as part of the hydrostatic test process. We now have a source to run that test. If you have scuba tanks that were manufactured before 1989, Aquatrek can have them tested and VE stamped. Bring them by!

Free air! Free gear! Warm, clear water! We got the call today from our friends in Christiansburg to reschedule the cleaning. The new date is Saturday, Dec. 20, from 9am - 1pm. Spread the word to the cleaning crew and friends. We need at least 9 divers. Contact Aquatrek if there are questions.

Thanks to the folks that volunteered to help with the cleaning job this weekend. Unfortunately, we did not have enough to accomplish the task, so we will reschedule for later November or early December.
