Happy Fourth of July! We had fun flying patriotic kites for Yachats’ Independence Day celebration. While wind conditions forced us to take down early, we didn’t let that stop us from enjoying spending time with our co-fliers, Scott and Linzy Abbott.

We’ve been soaring through the skies at Rockaway and Florence this week! The weather’s been fantastic, except for Tuesday afternoon when the winds got so strong that we needed a whole squad of fliers to help us bring down our midi ray. Other than that, we’ve been soaking up the sun and enjoying the breeze.

We flew at the 45th annual Lincoln City Fall Kite Festival (on the 45th parallel) this weekend! Saturday we put up our black-and-white pilot with an orca, and on Sunday we had Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur off the same pilot. Last festival, we told our friends about a cool cheese kite from Tillamook and were delighted to see them with cheese kites of their own! Maybe by next year we’ll have a cheese army 🤔
