04.27.26 Women’s tennis celebrated the 2026 annual Bearcat Awards this past April!

The team as a whole was nominated for the Women’s Academic Team of the Year for their combined average GPA.

Grace O'Steen was recognized for her representation on the 2025-26 Willamette Student Athlete Advisory Committee as the Secretary and for her election as the 2026-27 Co-President of the SAAC executive board.

Eva Lief was also inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma National Student Athlete Honors Society for her excellence in academics and athletics!

Happy Summer Break Bearcats! While we are all enjoying the summer months, it is time to honor and celebrate the hard work of our women’s tennis team through their Northwestern All-Conference recognitions.

For her hard work and dedication on the court, Sr. Alexa de Crinis was recognized on the Northwestern All-Conference Third Team Singles!

Additionally, Sr. Alexa de Crinis and So. Reese Beyrouty were recognized on the Northwestern All-Conference Second Team Doubles!

We are so proud of these exceptional women and cannot wait to see where the 2026-27 season takes our Bearcats next.🎾🐻🐱

It has been a few weeks since our wonderful 2026 Spring Season came to a close and we got to celebrate our wonderful 5 seniors! Willamette Women’s Tennis honored our seniors Alexa de Crinis, Marie Tarrab Dabbah, Alicia Sola, Kyrsten Smith, and Katrina Briggs for their hard work and dedication to the program. We love our seniors and cannot wait to cheer them on off the court and into life’s new adventures!

HAPPY SENIOR NIGHT BEARCATS! Today is the day where we celebrate our last match of the ‘26 season but honoring our 5 graduating seniors. Today the women’s tennis team will face Whitworth University at 10 AM at Salem Tennis & Swim Club! Come out and support our seniors for their years of dedication and commitment to the Willamette Women’s Tennis Program!

Good morning Bearcats and happy final weekend of conference play! Today the women’s tennis team faces the Whitman College Blues at Salem Tennis & Swim Club at 11 AM. Today the Bearcats are also partnering with The Hidden Opponent to help bring awareness to athlete mental health, so wear green in support.

The Hidden Opponent is the leading non-profit organization for athlete mental health advocacy, education, and support. We provide accessible resources and unite a global community to empower athletes to prioritize their mental health and shatter the stigma within sports culture.

BEARCAT WIN‼️ This weekend the Bearcats faced the University of Puget Sound and prevailed with a strong 5-2 victory!

Starting the day off, the Bearcats secured the doubles point with a dominant lead of 6-1 for #1 doubles duo A. de Crinis and R. Beyrouty and quickly followed by #2 doubles battle resulting in 7-5 victory for E. Lief and S. Spencer. Then the work continued into singles as S. Spencer quickly won with a 6-0, 6-1 bagel and breadstick victory at #3! At #1 singles, A. de Crinis showed confidence in securing her own 6-4, 6-3 victory and at #4 E. Lief showed her outdoor aptitude with a swift 6-2, 6-2 victory. The final match of the day came down to a grinding 3rd super set tie breaker from K. Briggs at 5 with a final score of 6-3, 3-6, 10-7 win! The Bearcats continue to prove their outdoor tennis mastery and as always IT’S A GREAT DAY TO BE A BEARCAT🐻🐱🎾
