Please note that volleyball for Walhalla is held in the community center but the address doesnt show on the GPS. It is the building behind the subway in Walhalla.

The Tamassee-Salem Recreation Department is honored to receive a The MB6 Foundation grant. This is a fall/winter 2026 grant in which the funds will be used to enable lower-income families to participate in the rewards of community team sports. The MB6 Foundation is a non-profit charity, with donations collected from its foundation's fundraising campaigns for the provision of financial sponsorships to recreation departments in the upstate of South Carolina.
The MB6 Foundation was established to honor the memory of Michael Blake, a young boy who passed away suddenly at the age of ten. Michael loved playing baseball in the Fountain Inn recreational league. The MB6 Foundation's mission started out making recreational athletics accessible to other children in the Golden Strip area. They are now expanding its reach to the upstate of South Carolina.
The name "MB6" is a reference to Michael's initials and his jersey number.
Pictured below is Shaun Blake, Michael Blake's dad as well as his mother.
This fall/winter, if you have a child wanting to play a sport and you are having difficulties with paying the fees, please reach out to us during the registration period. You can message us on the Tamassee-Salem Recreation Department page.
