I apologize for not announcing sooner……
The snack shack is closed today while we try to find a person to take over the afternoon shift. The morning/afternoon person called in sick today, and we are scrambling to try to find a person to work today. Things do get a little harder to fill the schedule as kids are getting ready to return to school and school starting.
UPDATED- We will have the Snack Shack staffed at 3:00pm

When Mother Nature sends her message to the Salem Country Club, the caretaker, the board and especially the members hear her. Yesterday, I posted pictures of the downed trees, sticks, limbs and general mess of the club. The beach was a mess with the erosion of the sand and in terrible shape yesterday. A member text me that has a lawn and property service company and volunteered his time to help. With his help the club is almost back to normal and you would never know the mess it was in less than 24 hours. With his helping hands he and John have the club back to normal for the members. I wanted to give a shoutout and a huge THANK YOU from myself and the entire Country Club. If you ever need any lawn, tree work, excavation, driveway gravel repair he is a great guy and just starting his business. Great young man with a super work ethic and a very professional attitude. Give Takota Kobota a call or I how I playfully refer to him as “the fireman”.

Well, rain, rain, go away?
I’m sure everyone in the area is aware it’s raining again. Not a huge surprise but we do have a lot of water and some wind damage. John ( the caretaker) will get things cleaned up as fast as possible but it’s going to take some time. We did have a couple tree tops come down around the grounds and a lot of standing water. Please take caution when entering the club if you plan on venturing to the club today.
Fisherman please take caution by the overflow, we did also have a tree snap towards the lake and it is blocking the bridge by the overflow.
We will get things tidied up as soon as possible, it must have been raining hard and windy to do this kind of havoc.

Please remember, As with each year the life Guard hours will be shorter after Water Wars.
Reminder that Starting today Monday (the 10th) lifeguards will be on duty 11am-8pm until the end of the season. And with one exception if the weather does not permit them being on duty.

WATER WARS 2026!

Such a fun afternoon at the Salem Country Club! It’s always so much fun watching all of the kids and their families have the best time together.

The kids (& adults 😉) got to check out the fire truck, spray the hoses, go down the Slip ’N Slide hundreds of times, and just enjoy a perfect summer day!

Thanks so much to everyone who came out and to everyone who helped make it happen. Another one of our favorite days at the club!!!!! ☀️🏖️🌊
