The purpose of the Salem State Spirit Squad is to build and promote school spirit during the Salem State University basketball games. The vision is to keep the basketball fans and spectators entertained at half time while simultaneously building school spirit. The Spirit Squad will chant during games, as well as perform dances during halftime and timeouts in order to engage the crowd. This team al

so participates in various community service projects throughout the academic year. We may also be called upon to perform at other events in the Salem State community.

Rugby is catching on across the country as one of its fastest-growing sports. Salem State University picked up on the trend in 2012, and the club sport at the school has developed into a one of the top teams in the National Small College Rugby Organization Division 3.
