It felt good to be back in B.E. Gum Gymnasium yesterday at the Shrine Game Pep Rally!! ❤️

The girls showed off the Pom dance they learned just last week at their camp!! They’ve worked so hard to learn and clean this dance for their first performance. 💪🏼 It really paid off!!

Our season is officially underway! To start off the year, we would like to congratulate our Captain Sydney Clark and Co-Captain Avery Eastin. Both of these girls have shown wonderful leadership so far this year and were voted on by their teammates!

This week the SCHS Dance Team spent 3 long days working hard at dance camp!! 💚

We learned 4 routines, worked technique and skills, team bonding and discussed what it takes to be a leader and role model for our school and community! These girls ✨showed up and showed off✨ and we couldn’t be more proud!!

We even had 4 dancers earn their way into the All-American Program, where they have been invited to perform in the New Years Day Parade in LONDON!!🤩
Seniors: Sydney Clark, Avery Eastin & Jordyn Carter.
Freshman: Joscelyn Redenbo

Some other awards given included the “Pin It Forward” award. This was awarded to Junior Madi Pruitt for being a great leader, stepping out of her comfort zone and never being afraid to answer questions! She was then asked to share a pin with another teammate she felt showed the same qualities. Madi chose to “Pin It Forward” to Freshman Joscelyn Redenbo!
Also, the prestigious award of ✨Drill Down Queen✨ was awarded to Senior Jordyn Carter! Who we here is continuing her Reign from her freshman year and the last time the dance team attended a UDA Camp!! 👑
Congratulations to all of our award winners!!

Thank you to our UDA Camp Instructor, Marissa for being so amazing!! And thank you to our team for putting in hard work and long days right at the end of summer!

Dance Team Try-Outs were held this past Friday evening! We have a wonderful group of 11 dancers 🤩 We are beyond excited to get our summer training started!
We will have a Parents Meeting this coming Friday, May 29th in the big gym. Parents mandatory, dancers encouraged 😉 a text message will be going out to the dancers with the time!

Meet the new SCHS Dance coaches! 🐾

Amy was on the SCHS Dance Team from 2005-2008. She also coached the team from 2011-2016! She is now a mom of 4, L&D Nurse, photographer and dance teacher!

Jillin was on the SCHS Dance Team from 2012-2016. She is now a mom of 1 with 1 on the way, teaches dance and does balloon designs on the side!

We are looking forward to building a great team and bringing amazing half time performances to B.E. Gum Gymnasium! ❤️💚
