With a heavy heart I must announce that I will no longer be coaching at . Due to unforeseen circumstances my journey must go down a different path. I am grateful for my time under the learning tree of and . But at this time I must do what is best for me and my family. For now I will be focusing on my own growth and knowledge base. I will continue to be available for any questions about health and fitness you may have. I am still taking one on one clients, message me for inquiries.

As 2022 starts, I’m looking back on all I have accomplished and how I got here. I got into fitness because I was overweight & depressed. Something had to change, and I struggled hard as I navigated this world. I got into fitness as a Coach and Personal Trainer because I wanted to be what I needed in my hardest moments of plateaus, moments when the workouts just seemed to hard, and when I felt like I wasn’t making any progress. Veggies. It’s what’s for dinner.

Well part of it—gotta have my protein, too. Teriyaki Chicken with rice and veggies has become a household favorite around here. We love going to our fav joint to order this but recently started making it at home to save some money—and it’s delicious!

Went into the gym today to get my last workout of 2021 in and had the opportunity to do some work on the echo bike! The goal? Hit 50 calories in the shortest time—and I surprised myself by being less than 3 mins, and even more surprised to get put up as first! What a great way to end 2021. This gives me a good benchmark for 2022!
Huge shoutout to Steph Anson for the encouragement to keep going when I wanted to slow down, make the world of a difference!

Today after I finished coaching the 4:30 pm class at , I decided to stick around for Advanced Weightlifting with , boy am I glad I did. Not only did I get some much needed coaching on my Sn**ch and Clean & Jerk but I also hit a PR on Front Squat! I hit 245lbs! Not bad since I haven’t done front Squats in months! Also, I realized I need to start recording my lifts.

When I think about the moment I really found my discipline with fitness, it wasn’t some life-changing workout or moment of clarity. It was this 30-day push up challenge I found online. I figured I would pledge 100 push ups a day for 30 days. During that month, I would drop and randomly do 10 push ups. As long as I hit 10 rounds a day, I was golden. To my own surprise, I not only hit my goal, but continued to do the push ups for another couple of weeks.

I don’t know what this challenge changed for me, but push ups are still one of my favorites and when I feel stressed—I drop and do 10. Something about this movement helps reset my brain.

Look what's making a comeback tomorrow!
This was a very successful class when we first introduced it last year! Powerbuilding will be available on M,W, and F at 6:15AM and will be replacing the current Build + Burn classes on those days/times only.

What is powerbuilding? This class will combine elements of powerlifting and bodybuilding to increase your strength and sculpt those GUNZ! So think about getting strong...and then even stronger! And don't worry about the fact that there's no prescribed "cardio" you will still get plenty of it in this class.

FAQ: Will this class make me bulky? NOPE trust me, if there were a class that could do this I'd be first in line! Getting bulky - or increasing muscle mass - is a job in itself. You won't just happen upon it through any class or program.
