Returning Player Spotlight: Ana Reyes

Please welcome back Ana Reyes as she returns to the Capital Pioneers for another season. Ana plays guard and defensive end and is entering her third year with the team after a season defined by growth and perseverance. One of her favorite memories came in her very first game, when she wanted to sub out repeatedly but was pushed to keep going, a moment that helped her realize her own strength. Ana believes football is for women just as much as anyone else and sees the sport as both challenging and rewarding, building resilience that carries far beyond the field. Her advice is simple and powerful: stay low, keep your eyes up, play smart, and play strong.

Returning Player Spotlight: Ellie Dacar

Please welcome back Ellie Dacar as she returns to the Capital Pioneers for another season. Ellie plays on both the offensive and defensive line and brings experience from flag and tackle. Being a Capital Pioneer means being part of a community of strong women who are breaking barriers in women’s sports while building a second family that always has each other’s backs. This season, Ellie is hoping for a dominant run and is excited to contribute however she can while continuing to build strong connections with her teammates. Her goals are to gain experience, grow as a player, and enjoy the process of learning and competing in a new sport. Her message is simple but powerful: the work is hard both mentally and physically, but it is incredibly rewarding, and the lessons learned on the field carry far beyond the game.

Incoming Player Spotlight: Holly Bacon

Please welcome Holly Bacon to the Capital Pioneers. Holly joins the team as a wide receiver with four years of college flag football experience. She is excited to be part of a strong community and to step back into a team environment where building lifelong friendships matters just as much as competing. This season, Holly is focused on getting in shape, staying active, and continuing to grow alongside her teammates. Her mindset is simple and powerful: confidence is key, and success comes from working together, because there is no “I” in team. Holly is grateful for the opportunity to be here and is ready to contribute in any way she can.

Incoming Player Spotlight: Please welcome Tahimi Flores to the Capital Pioneers. She enters her rookie season after playing flag football since summer 2024 and is willing to step in wherever the team needs her, whether on offense or defense. Being a Pioneer means a great deal to her, and she sees this opportunity as a chance to find fulfillment, accomplishment, and purpose through the game. Tahimi is looking forward to having fun, playing hard, growing together, and building lifelong bonds with her teammates. She believes in keeping your mindset strong, remembering to have fun, and pushing past your limits. This season, Tahimi is ready to see how far she can go and do the work alongside this team. Returning Player Spotlight: Please welcome back Mandy Moore as she enters her fourth season with the Capital Pioneers. Mandy plays tight end and is part of a strong, skilled group of women who continue to put in the work year after year. Being a Capital Pioneer means being part of a community that supports one another on and off the field while helping pave the way for women’s football in Oregon and across the country. This season, Mandy hopes to see the team make a run to Canton for the Division III championship. Her personal goals are to push herself harder in practice and continue building confidence on defense. As someone who once dreamed of playing football as a young girl, Mandy believes in never giving up on what you want in life, because you never know when the opportunity will come. Her mindset is simple but powerful: every play has the potential to change the game.

Returning Player Spotlight: Willielee Missouri returns for another season with the Capital Pioneers. With seven years of tackle football experience and additional time in flag football, Willielee brings veteran knowledge and versatility to the field. She has spent six seasons with the Capital Pioneers and currently plays receiver, with plans to expand her impact by taking reps at running back this season. Being a Capital Pioneer means family, strength, and standing together, because when this team is united, they are unstoppable. Her message is clear: believe in the process, keep chasing your dreams, and never limit yourself, because women and young girls are powerful and capable of achieving anything they set their minds to. It’s time to put in the work. Let’s go, Capital Pioneers!

Incoming Player Spotlight: Please welcome Gen Staebler to the Capital Pioneers. Gen joins the team as a lineman and is stepping into her rookie season with resilience, integrity, and a positive attitude. She is most excited about the camaraderie that comes with being part of a team and having fun while competing. Gen’s goal this season is to continue learning the game and improving every time she steps on the field. Her advice to others is to not let fear hold you back, to try something new, and to stay open to learning from different perspectives.
