🏃‍♂️ GAME DAY RECAP: WARRIORS TRACK & FIELD 🏃‍♂️

The Salamanca boys track & field team is off to a hot start this season, earning a big win over Genesee Valley in their season opener! 🔥💪

Leading the way for the Warriors was Easton Chudy, who delivered an outstanding performance, scoring 16 total points across multiple events to power the team.

💥 Kasen Hardy also had a dominant night, contributing 10 points and sweeping both throwing events with impressive victories.

One of the biggest takeaways from the meet? Depth.
More than half of the athletes who competed scored at least one point — a clear sign that this team has the talent, balance, and teamwork to make noise all season long.

This was a true team win, with contributions coming from all over the lineup, and it’s just the beginning for this motivated group of Warriors.

🏃‍♀️ GAME DAY RECAP: LADY WARRIORS TRACK & FIELD 🏃‍♀️

The Salamanca Lady Tracksters kicked off their season in style last night, earning a strong 76–56 victory over Genesee Valley/Belfast in their season opener! 💪🔥

Despite 4–5 weather delays that kept the team from even getting outside to warm up, the Warriors stayed locked in and focused — a key factor in setting the tone for the night.

With several last-minute lineup changes due to unavailable athletes, these Lady Warriors stepped up in a big way and delivered across the board. 👏

🌟 Top Performers:

- Lailee Pierce led the charge, taking on new events and dominating both hurdles races:
- 100H 🥇 (22.6)
- 400H 🥇 (1:25.7)

- Paloma Haas had a huge night in the throws:
- Shot Put 🥇 (28-1)
- Discus 🥇 (91-3) — now ranked #8 all-time and hit the Section VI provisional mark!

🏆 Event Winners for Salamanca:
- Addison Follman – Triple Jump 🥇
- Kailyn Lemon – 1500m 🥇
- Thia Chudy – 3000m 🥇
- Harper Ellis – High Jump 🥇

💥 The Warriors also captured the 3200m Relay, with Pierce, Kurryn Glowacki, Ava Porter, and Thia Chudy bringing home the win!

🙌 Unsung Hero:
Mya Woods showed incredible grit in the 2-mile, battling hard and scoring valuable points for the team.

👏 Additional Strong Finishes:
Ireland Fidurko, Thia Chudy, Kailyn Lemon, Rhiannin Chase, Demetriana Coleman, Rileight Hutchison, Genesis Gonzalez, Kylynne Day, and Emma Domres all contributed key points with top finishes.

One of the most exciting takeaways? The team’s willingness to step into tough events like the 400 and 800. This group is showing what it means to be unselfish, determined, and team-first — a great sign for what’s ahead. 🔴⚫

We’re just getting started… and it’s going to be an exciting season watching this group grow!
