Barrow Brewing Company - Volks Bike Ride - Salado, TX This Oktoberfest ride takes place on the 3rd Saturday in October. Barrow Volks Ride is a fundraiser for the Salado Volunteer Fire Department.

We're looking for businesses and community partners who want to stand behind an event that brings cyclists to Salado from across Central Texas and throughout the state while raising money for the Salado Volunteer Fire Department.

Sponsorships begin at just $100.

The Barrow Volksride isn't simply another Texas bike ride. It's an opportunity to bring people together, support our local economy, welcome cyclists to Salado, and raise funds for the volunteer firefighters who serve our community.

Today, we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the firefighters, first responders, law enforcement officers, military members, and everyday citizens who demonstrated extraordinary courage in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

As an event dedicated to supporting the Salado Volunteer Fire Department, this day carries special meaning for us. We are reminded of the commitment first responders make every time they answer the call—running toward danger to help people they may have never met.

May we never forget those who did not come home, the families whose lives were forever changed, and the heroes who served that day and in the difficult days that followed.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.
