Many of the Powerlifting federations are ruling on transgender athletes participation in sport recently. Powerlifting is about the betterment of self by the means of competition, discipline in training (not motivation) and the camaraderie of friends who love the discipline of the barbell. To not allow these athletes to test themselves in competition is against one of the main principles of our sport....competition. What is more embarrassing; losing to a stronger powerlifter who is of the opposite gender or losing to the skinny, tooth pick legged athlete that out pulls you by 180 pounds to win the total! Shame shame🖕. You’re just afraid to lose and for that you will never really win. you are still my hero!! Do you! There are some of us in this sport who are still not afraid to lose. Oh!!! You all need to see this movie!! You can make all your comments on the subject below but I will not respond to negativity or debate the topic. I know where I stand....I’m not afraid to lose.

.education does Powerlifting too!

Don’t ask Paul what his day job is; government something SOCOM blah blah blah and a bunch of tech stuff I don’t understand. Evidentially he is important😳

Paul wanted to start Powerlifting two years ago, but he had some shoulder and knee issues to work through (who doesn’t if you have trained your whole life) and he wanted to know:

1. Can I compete and do well?
2. Can I powerlift and not get hurt?

I told him any age is a good time to start Powerlifting and I thought he would do very well. Not getting hurt....well if you want to be really strong you can’t be really hurt.

Well here he is now. The Georgia State Record Holder for the Masters 90 kilo class (communist weights for 198 pounds).

His lifts: English/Communist

Squat 468.5/212.5
Bench 325.2/147.5
Deadlift 523.6/237.5

State Record Total!!!!

I’m hard on Paul at times because he can take it, but I am just damn proud of him!

Now we have a new goal.....Paul wants to see if he can cut some body fat and keep improve on his records! Well, that sounds like a challenge 🧐

If you’re wondering if N1 is a right for you, here is the best representation I can give. You can read every bullet point of what we cover on the website, but the reality is you can’t even fathom the impact of the information until you are immersed in it.
We empower coaches to improve their own lives and their clients. Hearing the feedback of how impactful N1 has been on people is the greatest reward.
The tone of this video is very different than my typical. I was actually in the middle of editing this video when I got the text with news of Charles passing. Finishing this made me reflect on how grateful I am for everyone who has empowered me over the years, Charles especially. To put me in position to carry it forward and get the reward of touching so many lives. This is why we do what we do. I hope to see even more of you join us in Santa Rosa this December.

A PROGRAM WITHOUT A TEMPO IS NOT A PROGRAM.

Tempos can drastically impact the program your are trying to write and they should vary depending on the stimulus you are trying to achieve in the training session.
•
Tempos can alter what is recruited and where it is being recruited.
•
Tempos can change the resistance profile of the exercise.
•
If your program revolves around a core set of exercises, for example Powerlifting; using different tempos and intents can be a way of allowing continual progress in those repeated lifts.
•
By dictating the tempo resistance can be higher at the beginning of an exercise as you try to generate momentum and move the weight faster. Whereas in the eccentric, if you come down fast, the momentum can make the weight heavier, weight you will have to stop.

When a World Record Holder talks to you, you listen. There is something to be said for the private intimate conversations among meatheads, fellow bone breakers and earth shakers. Individuals that have spent years, not hours, under a bar honing their craft.

These intimate conversations are where the seeds are planted for the future. The next attempt, set, rep, even the next training phase. For some these conversations may lead to changing someones future area of study, I know it did for me. I hold these conversations in the highest value, talking with the people that I respect.

I am fortunate enough to travel and teach with .education and I love research and science but nothing will make my blood boil more than sharing an intimate piece of knowledge and I get the comment:
“Show me the research”.

Well…it just lets me know you have never been part of one of those private intimate conversations among meatheads. @ Longmont, Colorado

There are few organizations that I and .education are proud to associate ourselves with; may be the best business model I have seen for personal training and personal training results. “Most trainers are just baby sitting” hit the nail on the head with the personal training model in the United States. Get results or get another job. I am proud to associate myself with one of the true leaders in the industry of fitness and transformations.

I want to say thank you to these guys for delivering an awesome experience at the .education practicals across Europe. We taught 19 days of seminars over 26 days. And they had their online clients to manage in between. I just want these guys to know how much myself and all our students appreciate the work and passion you put into the last month.
And a special thank you to long time student for helping out in Amsterdam as well. Great trainer if anyone in amsterdam is looking for one, I highly recommend him. .
Now last day in Amsterdam. Goodbye pendulum squat. Now to Try to get in enough carbs to go into a coma on the flight home. .
