When we practice, we learn.
When we learn, we grow.
When we grow, we evolve.

Every down dog, every hundred, every rep you didn’t think you had in you — it’s not just about the practice. It’s about showing up for yourself and your classmates again and again.

Yoga teaches us patience. Pilates teaches us control. Fitness teaches us discipline. Together? They teach us who we’re capable of becoming.

So here’s to the poses, the pulses, and the planks we silently cursed and then thanked. Here’s to progress over perfection. 🧘‍♀️💪✨

is a new (and the only!) boutique fusion fitness studio in Ferrol, Spain, and is fantastic! 🙌

They offer barre, bootcamp, mat pilates, and indoor cycle. I did a bootcamp class this morning (which included something called a “devil press” that’s basically a burpee with an overhead dumbbell press and oh-so-fun) and am waitlisted for Cycle later today. 🤞

The owner, Candela, is muy simpática and an excellent instructor. I can’t wait to go back! ❤️

We devote a lot of time to exercise - to moving and breathing and lifting and sweating - so that we may feel strong and healthy, of course! 🪴

But when you move through ancient postures, cultivate steady breath, and sit with intention, you create a palpable, positive energy within and around you. This energy shapes your life in ways you can’t imagine unless you actually do the practice. In other words, “yoga hits different.” 😍

And over in Spain…I visited for a traditional Mat Pilates session this morning. 💗

Did you know > Joseph Pilates took up several fitness regimens in his youth, including martial arts, bodybuilding, gymnastics, boxing, and yoga. 

He studied both Eastern disciplines — including yoga, tai chi, kung fu, and qigong — as well as Western disciplines like bodybuilding, boxing, and gymnastics. The influence of yoga on his developing methodology was particularly significant. 

During his time in a WWI internment camp, he began intensively developing his system of physical exercise, which he called “Contrology,” and studied yoga and the movements of animals while training his fellow inmates. 

Like yoga, his method emphasized breath as a foundation, mindfulness, precision of movement, and flow — reflecting his studies in Zen Buddhism and yoga.

Meet Your Goddess Retreat Instructors ✨

We are beyond excited to announce that, 5 years later, Ploeger of Yoga & Body is coming back to teach at the Goddess Retreat at Villas by the Sea Resort & Conference Center Jekyll Island, GA - just like she did the very first time we decided to gather and dance on the beautiful Jekyll Island.
After leading wellness classes for two and a half decades, Patricia Ploeger, B.S.Ed., E-RYT 500, and LMT, opened OMCORE yoga + body in 2012 as a premier mind body fusion fitness studio and yoga school.

For the past 38 years, Patricia has studied and taught various modalities throughout the world and is a leader in the yoga and fitness industry, training dozens of instructors in the Golden Isles area alone. With advanced yoga teacher training in India and a degree and experience in education, she has a true love for teaching both yoga and fitness. Her greatest passion is uplifting people through guided movement, meditation, and breathwork in a light-hearted, playful, and accessible way, so that everyone may feel health, joy, peace, and presence each and every day.
