Sign-up for TIMERS is also open. If you are not swimming in the meet, please make a plan to volunteer for timing. Bring a friend to share the duties and cheer on the swimmers. Timers will be entered to win a $25 gift card each day.

To volunteer for timing, send an email to [email protected] with the subject line, "YES, I CAN TIME! Include your name and phone number. We can't run this meet without timers!

Save the Date: July 11-12, 2026! Our very own SPM Swim Meet needs all hands on deck. Swimming, counting, officiating, volunteering, or timing, we need every member to help run a smooth meet. Hosting swim meets is one of the ways we raise funds to keep our team running and give back to the swimming community. Help keep the SPM tradition as one of the oldest clubs in the USA by making our meet a success. Stay tuned for information on how to sign up. For now, mark your calendars.

The USMS 5K/10K Virtual National Championship begins on May 15 and runs through September 15. You can swim at any time between the dates in any pool. Have your counter log your splits and upload the results at https://bit.ly/4dKXEB3. If you want to do the event with friends, SPM will organize team days, dates coming soon. Grab a lane mate and swap counting and swimming duties.

SPM will put together relays featuring the top swimmers: 3 women, 3 men, and 4 mixed (2 men, 2 women). If you have a top swim, you will receive your medals in the mail! What a great day of mail.

The Bumpy Jones Classic is back for another year, June 20-21, 2026, at the Selby Aquatic Center in Sarasota. Sign up before June 15th to join in the racing. Make sure you mark the relays you are available for.
