O boy
LIV Golf has officially filed for bankruptcy as it reorganizes after losing Saudi PIF funding.
Jon Rahm is the top unsecured creditor listed in the filing at $7,472,527.47, while Bryson DeChambeau is second at $5,769,230.77.
The Saudi PIF is expected to provide $49.6 million in financing under a Debtor-in-Possession agreement, subject to court approval.
LIV has entered into a restructuring support agreement with BC Partners, and they, along with other "potential" minority investors, will provide exit funding and serve as the plan sponsor to capitalize the reorganized Company following Court approval. The proposed restructuring will give minority ownership of the league to players.
