Yo! We’ve been quiet on this channel but that’s not for lack of running. Our Antelopes have been straight-up GRINDING through a crazy, hot summer, working toward some epic fall race goals. En route to those meaty goals, we’ve got some gravy to report from this past weekend.
Myriam PR’d her 10k time this weekend at the Tucson 10k. She’s been training for a half marathon later in the fall and just CRUSHING IT.
Rob toured Bordeaux on his own two feet, participating in the Marathon du Medoc, which is described as “26.2 miles through scenic vineyards, whose participants, in compulsory fancy dress, are expected to indulge in 23 glasses of the famed vintages in route, while also stuffing themselves with local specialties such as oysters, foie gras, cheese, steak and ice cream.” Talk about gravy!
Last but not least, as part of her training toward the Oil Creek 100, Holly attempted a fastest known time on the MD/WV Triple Crown, a steep, rugged and gnarly eastern mountain trail. To her surprise, she beat the previous FKT by 30 MINUTES! And she did it unsupported. Just killer.
More updates coming soon as fall racing descends upon us. Stay tuned!
