The Athleticus Personal Training is growing and hiring!
If you're passionate about strength training and want to spend your time coaching great sessions instead of chasing new business, this is built for you.
What we're looking for
A 4-year college degree specifically in Sports Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or a closely related field (a bachelor's in an unrelated field doesn't meet this)
Certification through a top-tier, nationally accredited personal training organization
3+ years of hands-on training experience, with a track record of real client results in muscle building, orthopedic injury recovery and weight loss
Available at least 3 full weekdays per week (about 20 hours/week to start)
Currently living in the St. Petersburg area now, with reliable transportation (we're not able to interview candidates who are still planning a move — please wait to apply until you've relocated)
Why trainers like this role
Clients are provided. No cold outreach, no building your own book of business
Room to grow. This starts as a part-time role (about 20 hours/week), with a genuine path to full-time, W2 employment with benefits for the right person.
Weekdays only, no weekends.
Competitive pay: $42–$55/hour, based on experience and credentials.
A real team. You'll be part of an established, supportive studio — not working solo.
A great fit is also...
Someone looking for a long-term home, not just a gig — a team player who wants to grow with the studio. Outgoing, warm, and genuinely invested in helping clients succeed — the kind of trainer people look forward to seeing. (Bonus points if you're a dog person — ours is basically studio staff.)
And a love of dogs!
