TO ALL MY TRACK ATHLETES:
Having a fast start doesn’t necessarily means it’s a good start, that just means you have a fast reaction. The start of the race should be set up for you to continue to accelerate as you approach your top end speed. Here two things you want to keep in while developing your start
1. Push
- You want to make sure the your utilizing your strength correctly and pushing powerful in all the right angles
2. Transition
- After every step you must have a slow increase in your upper body and shins to smoothly transition into a vertical position as you approach max velocity
