We have great news. Our Trap Field Improvement Grant from Midway USA Foundation was approved. This Fall, we will build semi-permanent Trap Houses and shooting positions along with adding a storage container for ammo and targets. It will have a small covered area for tables and seating, as well. We will also purchase a system that will allow us to practice indoors during inclement weather (think Duck Hunt but for Trap Shooters).

Well, another regional Trap Shoot is in the books. Another year of frustration when we just can’t seem to shoot in competition like we do in practice. We did have one exception to that problem. Elzie Beam shot his best 50 rounds ever. Now, if he could somehow get the others to do that on game day.
Even though we didn’t bring home the win, I’m still proud of these guys.

Our Juniors shot fairly well, today. I’m looking forward to seeing how our Seniors do tomorrow.

Today, we went to Bella Vista to practice before our Juniors go to Jacksonville to compete tomorrow and Seniors on Saturday. It is tradition to shoot your hat if you hit 25 out of 25 clays. Ethan Gibson did that in our last practice and he did it AGAIN, today! So, he shot TWO hats. The other video is in the comments. I’m looking forward to seeing how these guys shoot this weekend.
