🚨🚨 UPDATE!! 🚨🚨Customer Appreciation ! Glizzies On The River is this SATURDAY! We will be set up at NORIN PARK LANDING serving up dogs and bevs from 11:00-3pm JULY 11th. We had some suggested floats in our previous post BUT it has come to our attention that ELLISON PARK will be closed that day. What that means is, if you’re floating down to the GLIZZY STATION at Norin, you’ll have to put in at Montissippi Park. OR why not pop by first, fill your glizzy lockers, then drop your watercraft in at Norin and fish on down to Nashua to end your day 🌭🤌🏽🤘🏽 OR, just come and hang out and chow down. No need for a boat. Don’t even have to fish if you don’t want to. Just some good clean hang time. We just want to say thanks to all of you amazing friends and customers! Whatever you decide to do, WE CAN’T WAIT TO SEE EVERYONE!

CALLING ALL GLIZZY GOBBLERS! Join Thorne Brothers Fly Fishing on July 11 for Glizzies on the River — a laid back day of floating, fly fishing, free food, great company, and river vibes.

Fish wherever you’d like on the Mississippi River throughout the day, then join us at Norin Landing Parkfrom 11am-3pm to rehydrate and fill up on glizzies. Hang with all the coolest glizzy gobblin’ fly anglers to swap stories, talk tactics to help your buddy who keeps whiffing all those hook sets, and enjoy a summer day on the water.

Every attendee will also have a chance to win some great raffle prizes. Make sure to grab a raffle ticket when you grab your Glizzy! Winners will be announced the following Monday.

Prizes include:

-Thorne Brothers gift cards
-Thorne Brothers Fly Fishing hats,t-shirts and hoodies.
-Grand Prize- An Umpqua Baby Boat Box loaded with our shop guys’ favorite Smallie flies.

Bob Mitchell’s Fly Shop has been the Twin Cities’ original fly shop since 1978. And since 2012, Rhea and I have loved helping you all get out and fish. But as in fishing and in life, all seasons come to an end. After 13 years, it’s time for us to see you all out on the water instead of within the four walls of the shop. But not without a HUGE thank you for all your support over the years. This community is hands down the best there is. The support and love you all have given us, as well as each other, is second to none. Life-long friendships have been made.

That being said, it is with sincere and great excitement that we announce the next chapter for BMFS. Starting today, BMFS is joining forces with Thorne Bros/The Fly Angler, located in Blaine, to be the ultimate fly fishing retail, knowledge and education destination. Everything you’ve loved about BMFS (events, classes, guiding, etc.) will continue and grow, just a little further north. Stay tuned over the next few days and weeks for more info.
