Being able to participate in democratic elections is an inalienable right for all Americans. That being said here are some tips to keep you safe during the elections at the voting polls.

1. Situational awareness… always be on the lookout for any suspicious people.
2. Avoid wearing clothes that reveal who you’re voting for… we love to show support to our candidates but sadly there are people who may disagree with the candidate you’re supporting and show hostility. In some voting stations people aren’t allowed to wear merch supporting candidates to avoid these type of situations.
3. Report any suspicious activity to poll workers and law enforcement.
4. Don’t strike conversations with people about who you’re voting for. One of the best ways to keep voting a civil experience is to keep your support to yourself.
5. Don’t let anyone discourage you from exercising your right to vote.
