Who's ready to go BIG at the Crow?

We have an action packed week ahead of us. We have a few finishing touches to put on the track this weekend, followed by several layers of glue. This was an intentional delay due to our new fence being delayed at the supplier. We didn't want to glue until we have something to keep the swarm of E-Bikers off the fresh glue.

(There will be lots of free space open as well.)

It’s a beautiful day, and the track is drying beautifully… unfortunately, it’s drying with unwanted tire tracks and divots.

Because of continued misuse of the track and need for repairs (even though we had a volunteer that just finished fixing the track at 10am) we are canceling tonight’s Community Open Ride.

Over the past two weeks, our volunteers have had to repair the track FIVE different times due to e-bikes, e-scooters, and other wheeled items being ridden on the track outside of scheduled events.

For clarification: the ONLY items permitted on our track are pedal bikes and balance bikes, and they are ONLY allowed during scheduled events. If there is no event and no yellow-shirt volunteers present, the track is CLOSED.

This isn’t just about protecting the hard work of our volunteers—it’s also a safety issue. Some e-bikes can reach speeds that have no place on a BMX track, especially in an area used by children.

We have also confirmed multiple instances of individuals waiting until volunteers leave before returning to the track. These incidents have been captured on our security cameras.

Parents, please talk with your children about respecting our facility. We want to continue providing these opportunities for our community, but we cannot do that if the track continues to be damaged and misused.

Continued trespassing and damage to track property may result in law enforcement involvement.

NO EVENT = NO RIDING
NO YELLOW SHIRTS = TRACK CLOSED

🌧️ RACE CANCELED – Wednesday, 6/17 🌧️

Unfortunately, the rain has been falling on and off all day, and our track surface is simply too soft for bikes tonight.

Our volunteers work incredibly hard to build and maintain a safe, smooth racing surface. Preserving that work is important, and riding on a saturated track can cause significant damage that takes many hours to repair.

While we’re disappointed not to race tonight, making the call now helps protect the track so we can get back to doing what we love as soon as possible.

Thank you for understanding and for supporting our volunteer-run nonprofit. 🖤💛

Stay dry, and we’ll see you at the track soon! 🏁🌧️

Remember, you are representing yourself, your rider, your team, and your home track! ❤️

Thank you MN BMX State Series for everything you do!

🚲 A Friendly State Series Reminder 🚲

Minnesota BMX is pretty awesome.

We have amazing riders, dedicated volunteers, supportive families, and some of the best tracks in the country. The State Series is a chance for all of us to come together, compete, make memories, and have a whole lot of fun.

With that said, we’ve seen a few situations at State Qualifier races this season that don’t reflect the values of our BMX community.

So here’s your gentle reminder:

✔️ Cheer loudly.
✔️ Race hard.
✔️ Celebrate the wins.
✔️ Learn from the losses.
✔️ Treat fellow riders, parents, volunteers, officials, and track operators with respect.

❌ Yelling at volunteers.
❌ Unsportsmanlike behavior.
❌ Skirting the rules.
❌ Harassing riders, parents, or officials.

None of those things belong at a BMX race.

At the end of the day, we’re talking about a sport built by volunteers who give countless hours so our riders have a place to race. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect, whether they’re racing for a State Plate or working registration.

Let’s keep Minnesota BMX what it’s always been—a fun, competitive, family-friendly environment where good sportsmanship matters just as much as crossing the finish line.

Race fast. Be kind. Have fun. We’ll see you at the next qualifier! 🤘

🌧️ OPEN RIDE CANCELED - THIS WEEK ONLY 🌧️

Unfortunately, due to the rain we’ve received over the last several days and the continued moisture today, we will be canceling Community Open Ride for this week.

While we’d love to get everyone on the track, the conditions simply aren’t drying out enough for a safe and enjoyable riding experience.

Thank you for your understanding as we work to protect the track and keep our riders safe.

We look forward to seeing everyone back at Crow River BMX soon! Keep an eye on our page for updates on upcoming events and track conditions.

🌦️ Sometimes the weather wins. This week is one of those weeks. 💙🖤

⚠️ TONIGHT’S EVENT IS CANCELED ⚠️

Unfortunately, a pop-up storm rolled through and brought enough rain that we’re making the call to cancel tonight’s event.

We know this one came together quickly and wasn’t in the forecast earlier, but the safety of our riders, volunteers, and families always comes first.

Thank you for your understanding, and thank you to everyone who was planning to come out tonight. Keep an eye on our page for updates on upcoming events and track conditions.

DUE TO A POP UP STORM— we have to cancel tonight.

🌧️ Diamond Series Race Night – Weather Update 🌧️

Mother Nature gave us a good soaking early this morning, and there’s more rain in the forecast for later today.

As of now, tonight’s Diamond Series race is still on as scheduled, but we’ll be keeping a close eye on track conditions and the weather throughout the day.

⏰ Final call will be made by 4:00 PM.

Please watch our page for updates before heading to the track.

If we get the green light, registration will run 6:00–7:00 PM with racing to follow.

Thanks for your patience, and keep those rain dances pointed in the right direction! 🤞🚲💎
