Incredibly proud to host this organization 💙🩵

The results are in from the NYOI survey, and we are incredibly proud to announce that the Boys & Girls Club of Pleasants County ranked #1 in not only West Virginia, but the entire Midwest Region of Boys & Girls Clubs! 💙

So, what does that mean?

Each year, Boys & Girls Clubs participate in the National Youth Outcomes Initiative (NYOI) — an anonymous survey that gives kids and teens the opportunity to share how they feel about their Club experience. Think of it as a report card for the Club itself.

The survey helps us understand how our members feel about their safety, relationships with staff, sense of belonging, opportunities, and overall experience at the Club.

And our members gave us something to be incredibly proud of. ❤️

Our Club had the highest results among Boys & Girls Clubs in West Virginia and the Midwest Region when it comes to how kids feel about their Club experience.

We may be small, but we are MIGHTY!💙

These results aren't just statistics. They are our kids telling us that what we do matters.

They are telling us that they feel connected. They feel heard. They feel accepted. They enjoy being here.

We are so incredibly proud of our staff for creating an environment where kids can be themselves, be weird, build relationships, try new things, and know that there are adults here who care about them.

Park League Volleyball Registrations are now open! 🏐
This is for grades 3rd-6th.
Practices & games are held Sunday afternoon’s at the Jim Spence Center.

Forms are available at the Park office, and are due back by September 4th.
Cost is $25 per player or $40 for two players of the same household.

Great opportunity!

While we still have a couple of weeks of Summer Club left, we’re already looking ahead to an exciting after-school program this fall!

As some of our amazing staff head back to college, we’re looking for a few new Youth Development Professionals to join our team.

If you’re 17 or older, love working with kids, and want to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you!

This is a great opportunity for high school seniors and college students. Gain valuable hands-on experience by planning fun activities, building positive relationships with youth, and helping create a safe, supportive environment where kids can learn and grow.

✨ Position Details:
• Ages 17+
• $11/hour and raise after 90 days
• After-school hours 2:30p-6:30
• Weekends and holidays off!
• Hands-on experience working with children is a plus!
• Fun, rewarding, and meaningful work!

Last week we had the privilege of hosting our 40th Annual Park Basketball Camp. We had over 100 campers from all over the MOV, and it was a FUN week, learning fundamentals and teaching the game that so many of us love. 🏀

We want to shout a HUGE THANK YOU to our camp coaches, and volunteers. We are very fortunate to have so many knowledgeable past and present coaches willing to donate their time to our younger players.

Thank you to our high school camp counselors and college guest speakers, many of which grew up coming to this very camp.
It’s a special thing being able to watch a kid come through camp from Kindergarten through 8th grade, then return in high school and college, still loving the game and willing to give back.

Thank you to SMHS for allowing us to use the high school facilities.

Thank you Spirit 111 for once again hooking us up with great tshirts for every camper.

And finally, THANK YOU to all the parents, grandparents, family and friends that brought kids to and from camp each day, and help us keep this tradition alive each year. We love the legacy that this camp has created, and we’ll see everyone next July 26th-20th next year!

The Aquatic Center is OPEN today, however the splash pad is currently down due to maintenance.

This evening’s Walk The River session is on as planned.
