Hey there! The Missouri River Rollers will be hanging out at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall in Atchison this Saturday and Sunday for open skate from 1-3 pm collecting donations for the The Noyes Home for Children and sharing the roller derby love. Come out and chat with us, find out what derby is all about, and help us make a difference for those in need.

Noyes Home donations can include:

Items for older children such as socks, underwear, gift cards to Wal-Mart, Target, K-Mart, Kohl’s, Walgreens�; clothing (new or gently used), towels/bedding, sports equipment, Boy Scout uniforms, Girl Scout uniforms, and�school supplies

Items for the new crisis nursery for babies and toddlers such as sheets and bedding for baby beds, diapers in various sizes, toys that can be washed (push or pull toys, wooden toys, stacking toys); cloth or plastic coated books, and balls or large-muscle equipment.

If you can't make it out, but would like to contribute, please comment and I'll be glad to arrange a pick-up!

It's a derbylicious day!! Our women are playing Steampunk Roller Derby in St. Louis tonight, and the coed team is facing off with Fountain City Roller Derby in Kansas City.

The starting point is on Southwest Parkway, right across from the St. Joseph REC Center.
