We are in need of additional active board members to help manage the Lake Wobegon Trails Association. I have been involved with the association since the early 2000s and plan to retire by November 15th, 2024.

We are a great organization! The organization’s mission is to promote the Lake Wobegon Trails, the communities and businesses along the trails and to support Stearns County Parks in their efforts to maintain and improve the trails.

We have 3 successful events that have been around for a long time. The Caramel Roll Ride has been around for 25 years, and the Lady Slipper Nature Ride and the Caramel Apple Rides have been around for 13 years each. Please check it out and see how you can be a part of the trails association.

Hello ... looking for some help for one of our Lake Wobegon Trail users. They are looking for a pair of glasses lost recently. . Below is the information that we received ... thanks for your help! Let me know if you find them or hear that someone did. Cliff 320-293-9364

My daughter lost her reading glasses while riding the trail on Sunday july 14th. They are white and black “Guess” brand with quite significant far sighted lenses. If anyone has turned in a pair, will you please contact me? Thank you in advance!

I had to ask my daughter, and she's not the best with details, but she said she "rode the trail from the College of St Ben's to about 6 miles past the left turn that would lead you to St John's and then back to St Ben's."

Hey St Joseph Lake Wobegon Trail users what's happening on your part of the trails?

Have you seen the work beginning on the extension of the trail into Waite Park? That's what those construction guys are doing by the intersection near MacDonalds and Coborns and all the way along County Road 134.

Yes it's finally happening! The Lake Wobegon Trails will be connected the St Cloud Metro area. The trail will be extended from St Joseph to River's Edge Park in Waite Park and will be open to the public hopefully in early Spring or Summer 2018!

In Waite Park it will be connected the Harold P Nelson Healthy Living Trail which runs along 3rd St to Crossroads and then north to Apollo HS where you can cross over the Highway 15 pedestrian/bicycle bridge. At this point you'll be on a St Cloud City bike route along 10th Street, Centennial Drive and 11th Street to Hester Park near the St Cloud Hospital a short distance from the Beaver Island Trail extension going south through downtown St Cloud.

This will be a great addition to the Lake Wobegon Trails system. And did you know that $20 million dollars from the half cent St Cloud Metro Area sales taxes, over I believe the next 10 years, is dedicated to making connections to other trails and bike routes in the Metro area!

Happy Trails!
