Have an athlete who has never done a back handspring before? Try these 3 drills to get them started! 🤸‍♀️

Here’s why we love them:

1. Sit Back to Arch→ Helps athletes understand the body position they need at takeoff.

2. Jump Backs→ Lets athletes feel what it’s like to jump backwards with confidence.

3. Boulder→ Helps athletes put the two pieces together and start flipping for the first time in a safe, controlled way.

The goal isn’t to rush the back handspring, it’s to build the positions, confidence and skills that make the back handspring possible. 💙

Coach Sky, Miss Mandy, and Coach Payton spent the weekend in Phoenix, Arizona, at Tumble Con hosted at Top Gun All Stars! 🏆

Top Gun All Stars is one of the most iconic and influential programs in the all-star cheer world, known for pushing the sport forward and setting the standard for elite-level training.

Our coaches spent the weekend learning new techniques, drills, progressions and coaching strategies that we’re SO excited to bring back to MEGA! 💪🏼

We’re always looking for ways to grow, learn and give our athletes the best possible experience and we can’t wait to put everything we learned into action!

To all of our kiddos heading back to school—GOOD LUCK!

Whether you’re walking into a familiar classroom, a brand-new school, starting a new routine, or learning in a different way this year, we hope your first day is filled with confidence, kindness, new friends, and plenty of reasons to smile!

And to our teachers, school staff, and administrators — an extra big cheer for YOU! We know this school year comes with changes, adjustments, and a whole lot of moving pieces. Thank you for showing up for our kids, caring for them, encouraging them, and helping them grow.

Jaycee has been a MEGA athlete for 16 years, growing up in the gym and building a love for cheer that she’s now taking with her into her next chapter.
