NEK Storm took on S**o, Maine this weekend for an awesome team trip 🏀🌊

The boys had a blast exploring the Old Orchard Beach area and hitting up the mall—mixing in some fun with their time off the court.

These hardworking boys went 4–0 this weekend at the Kingdom Invitational tournament. We were missing a couple of players who were lucky enough to be on vacation this week—hopefully they’re soaking up some sun for the rest of us ☀️

No matter what’s been thrown their way, these boys continue to rise to the occasion. They continue to show resilience and determination, coming out on top once again. 🏀💪🏻

The 6-8th grade NEK Storm went to Zero Gravity’s Rumble for the Ring tournament in Hampton, NH this past weekend.

A Chaotic weekend to say the least, but the boys battled through it all and competed hard every step of the way. They faced some of the greatest competition they have seen thus far, continued to grow together as a team, and fought their way to a 3rd place finish! 🥉

Proud of the effort, toughness, and resilience these boys showed all weekend long. Every game is another opportunity to learn, improve, and get better—and they did just that.

Meet Logan!

He began playing organized basketball in 2023 with 3/4 rec ball and AAU, and has been going strong with NEK Storm ever since. Following closely behind his brother, he’s already completed over 10 seasons and, as a 6th grader, has been playing up on an older team for the past couple of years! 💪

When he’s off the court, Logan stays busy with baseball and football. In his free time, you’ll usually find him outdoors—playing in the snow, riding his dirt bike, or spending time by the water fishing or swimming. Most of all, he enjoys being with family and friends. 🌊 🍃 🏈

His favorite food is takeout, and his favorite TV show is Stranger Things.

As the youngest on the team, he’s still figuring out exactly what the future holds—but he’s excited for the journey ahead. He plans to attend St. Johnsbury Academy and is ready to keep putting in the work on the court.

Proud of this group! 💪

This 6–8th grade squad battled through a one-day tournament and came away with a 1–1 record.
More importantly, they played hard, supported each other, and had a lot of fun doing it.

We’ve seen a lot of growth—especially with their team-first mentality—and the boys are already locked in on what they need to improve moving forward. That’s what it’s all about.

Keep hustling, keep learning, and keep getting better. Let’s go boys! 🔥🏀

Meet Lukas!

He started playing organized basketball in 2022, stepped into Metro and AAU in 2023, and continued the grind by joining NEK Storm in 2024. With over 10 seasons under his belt, his love for the game keeps growing year after year. 💪

When he’s not on the court, he’s all about the outdoors—hunting, fishing, snowboarding, sledding, or riding his dirt bike. You can also catch him on the baseball diamond or football field during the off-season.

His go-to meal is steak and mashed potatoes, and his favorite movie is The Sandlot ⚾️

Looking ahead, he plans to attend St. Johnsbury Academy and is considering trade school, but most of all—he’s excited to keep playing the game he loves.

We’re excited to have him with Storm—let’s go #12!! ⚡️🏀

Happy Easter Everyone! 🐰

Meet Owen!

He’s been playing basketball for the past 5 years, including 4 years with the Storm team. He loves being part of this team—especially getting coached by his Uncle and Dad!

When he’s not on the basketball court (which isn’t often), Owen also enjoys playing baseball, where his favorite position is catcher. ⚾️

Even on his “off days,” you can still find him with a ball in hand—whether it’s on a court, a field, or even playing in the kitchen! 😄

Outside of sports, Owen enjoys four-wheeling, hanging out with friends, and working out on the punching bag. 🥊

Looking ahead, he plans to work full-time with his dad in the family carpentry business, while still keeping college as an option for the future.

We’re excited to have Owen as part of the Storm team —-let’s #24! ⚡️🏀
