Nice way for the boys to bounce back from our first loss of the season last Saturday! Tonight, they HIT the ball like they're capable of doing and the result was entirely different! With the WIN, we're now 8-1-1 on the season as we head in to the rematch with the Angels on Saturday! GO ORIOLES!!!

Didn't quite know what we'd have last night with the boys coming off a LONG 2-week break from baseball, but they rose to the occasion and found a way to get a "W" against a quality opponent! After 8 games, they're still hungry and want to play together as a TEAM! Keep that outlook & perspective going, guys! Now, on to some awards! Our Game #8 Silver Slugger award winner was Kole Keene, who broke open a close game with his timely 2-run single! For the first time all season, our Golden Glove award was shared by two players: Nick Godzich & Brandon Good! Nick for his scoreless 3 innings of relief after our starter faltered and Brandon for his amazing glovework at second base, recording all 3 outs in an inning! GO ORIOLES!!!

Our GAME #3 Silver Slugger award goes to Nick "Papi" Papavasiliou for a titanic blast to left-center field! Our Gold Glove award winner is Gray Wallace, with 4IP, 1H, 2BB, 2R, & 8K's! Congratulations guys!

Just a quick reminder that we will be playing the Tigers on Saturday @ 3:00. Let's meet at the batting cages between 2:00 - 2:15 (but no later than 2:15) for BP and pre-game warmups. GO ORIOLES!!!

CONGRATULATIONS are in order for our 12 young men for their hard fought victory to kick off the season this evening! It certainly wasn't pretty, but at least we now have our opening game jitters behind us! Props go out to Coach Dan Bohan and his Cardinals too! Great coaches, great kids! Finally, let's recognize Nick Godzich for being our Game #1 winner of the Silver Slugger AND Gold Glove awards! Nick had a timely hit to knock in a couple of runs AND pitched 2 scoreless innings of relief! GO ORIOLES!!!

REMINDER: Our first game of the season is Tuesday night @ 7:35PM vs. the Cardinals! We'll meet at the batting cages at 6:45 to take BP and begin our pre-game routine. GO ORIOLES!

REMINDER: Tomorrow is JCB's Opening Day carnival!

Please DO NOT FORGET YOUR PLAYER'S WRISTBAND! They'll need it for entry.

Please have your player at Mills Field no later than 10:45. We'll wait until everyone is there, then enter the carnival as a group.

Please provide your player with some spending money to use for lunch, dunk tank tickets, basket raffle tickets, home run derby contest, etc.

The boys will travel around the carnival as a group and the coaching staff will keep an eye on them the entire time that we're together as a team (approximately 11AM - 1PM).

Please make sure that your son wears their Orioles jersey & cap.

PRACTICE REMINDER: We will have our FINAL practice of the preseason on Wednesday 2/29 from 5:30 - 7:15. We realize that some families will have issues being at the field by 5:30, but please get your player there as soon as you can. This will be our last opportunity to practice together as a team before we begin the regular season on 3/6. GO ORIOLES!!!
