Labor Day Weekend is upon us!!

We hope everyone is ready for a fun, relaxing, long last weekend of summer filled with family, friends, and yes…YOGA!! We are offering our regular weekend schedule Saturday and Sunday, but please be aware that we will have an abbreviated schedule on Monday so that everyone - our team included - can enjoy their bonus day off! It’s the end of an era!! Since our very beginning, Friday 9:30am Power YogaFlow has been Dedric’s class. When we first opened, he offered to teach a class at our studio for 2 weeks, just to help us get our feet on the ground. 2 weeks turned into 4 weeks, then 4 weeks turned into a month at a time…and here we are, 6 YEARS later. Friday mornings with Dedric have been a staple in our community. We LOVE this man. An excellent teacher, and an even better friend, team member, and overall human being, we are grateful for our 6 years of juicy backbends every Friday morning with Dedric.

Now brace yourselves. Due to multiple schedule requests and conflicts, TOMORROW, September 4th will be Dedric’s last regular Friday morning class. He has kindly agreed to hand this class off to another teacher for whom this time slot works better. More on that AMAZING new teacher soon - this post is all about Dedric!

Dry your tears, dear friends & yogis, because Dedric is NOT leaving us!! Starting later this month, when he returns from his work travels, Dedric will be regularly teaching our Thursday 5:45pm Power YogaFlow!! Morning yogis, let your evening yoga friends know what a spectacular teacher they’re gaining - and maybe even roll out your mat with us later in the day on Thursdays too!! We will miss inviting the morning in with Dedric every Friday, but we are grateful for his flexibility and willingness to make a change that creates opportunities for everyone in our community! Until then, come flow with Dedric TOMORROW morning, and let him know how much we’ll miss him every Friday!!

If you know me at all, you know I am not a beach girl…but when my sweet friend Jane, who’s practiced at our studio since we opened, asked me to lead a beach yoga class for her friend’s bachelorette weekend, there was no way I would say no!! What a wonderful morning, full of joy, lots of giggles, and so much fun flowing in the sand!! Congratulations to the beautiful bride, and thank you Jane Hufnagel for inviting me to share what I love with such a lovely group of ladies!! What an amazing way to kick off our studio’s birthday, doing what I only dreamed of 6 years ago!!
