The crash of the weekend goes out to our friends Jesse and Michelle in the Hooligan boat. Clipped the corner of an island, tried to correct but there wasn’t enough time and they went airborne! We were watching from the hill and couldn’t believe how high that boat went! So glad they are both okay and walked away from this crash.

Turns out the hardest part about driving someone else’s boat isn’t the horsepower — it’s the height difference. Jesse’s like 7’19” (we think), all legs. 😂 Jason’s a solid 5’10”, all torso. Poor Jason could barely hit the throttle stop with his big toe on the lip of the pedal… complete with the full yoga stretch to get it to the floor.

Post-race, the super fans rolled up with a giant Jenga piece and some duct tape, and went to work like a NASCAR pit crew. A minute later, Jason had a right leg a few inches longer. If we had known it was going to be that easy we would have tried that earlier in the day! 😂

What a fun weekend we had! First, huge thanks to Jesse and the Pickle crew for allowing us to tag team the Slippery Pickle. She’s quick, and we were able to help get Jesse some valuable data throughout the day. To our crew, Trent, Jon, and Talon: thank you for rolling with the punches and crewing for us in not our boat. They helped keep us safe and kept the show running smooth all weekend long. And Christina, thanks for holding down the merch booth. To Webb's Slough, thank you for providing an incredible venue for us to come play at. Our family and fans: thank you for cheering no matter the circumstances. And our sponsor, Redox, thank you for supporting us even through the struggles this season. We knew this year was going to be a challenge with a new motor and changing classes. Thanks for understanding and supporting us along the way. Oh, and we walked away with 3rd — even though Jason could barely reach the pedal!

Well, that’s one way to end the race before it even started. Threw a rod through the side of the oil pan during warm-up today. Inside parts are now outside parts. Gutted is an understatement. We will not be racing Webb's Slough this weekend.

Congratulations Mr. Juggernaut on your promotion to Captain! I had the honor of pinning his new badge on him last night, and there aren’t words for how proud I am. He’s put everything into becoming the best firefighter and leader he can be, for this department and for himself, and this is so well earned. So proud of you, Captain. 💙💚
