Lake Central Barracudas Founded in 1977, we are a Year Round Swim Team for kids ages 5 to 14 within the Greater NW Indiana A

Our team is a year round competitive swim team offering high quality professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities. The goal of our team is to provide every member an opportunity to improve their swimming skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability. All of our coaches, as members of the American Swimming Coaches Association, have access to the most compre

hensive training and certification program for youth coaches of any sport in the United States. They provide assurances that the time children spend in swimming will be quality time. Kids on the team are taught the four swim strokes, free style, back stroke, breast stroke and the fly.

📸 Team & Individual Picture Day — TODAY! 📸

Both individual (in swimsuits) and team photos will be taken today!
For the team photo, each swimmer will be photographed individually in their new LCB team shirt and then combined into one group image.

👉 Please make sure swimmers bring this year’s team shirt for the group photo.

📅 Schedule:

Silver: 4:30 p.m. (photos first, then practice 5–7 p.m.) — please arrive as close to 4:30 as possible

Copper: 5:00 p.m.

Bronze 1: 5:20 p.m.

Bronze 2: 5:40 p.m.

💦 Only the Silver group will have practice today.
Parents — please do not drop off Copper or Bronze swimmers; they’ll need assistance getting through the photo line.

It’ll be a busy evening, but we’re ready for some organized chaos and great smiles! 😄💙

All team shirts that weren’t picked up last night have now been placed in swimmers’ folders. ✅

We also noticed many new swimmers still have their LCB caps waiting — plus several swimmers still have ribbons from Highland in their folders! 🏅

👉 Please make sure your swimmer checks their folder ASAP!

📅 Reminder: Team shirts will be worn on Thursday, November 6 for picture day, so make sure it’s grabbed before then!

And of course… feel free to rock that LCB gear proudly at meets and throughout the season! 💙💛 Let’s show that team spirit!

📣 Missing Glasses Alert – Please Check Your Swimmer’s Bag! 👓

Hi swim families! Easton’s glasses were accidentally taken after practice tonight. We’re thinking another swimmer may have grabbed them by mistake or ended up with two pairs.

✅ Description:
-Black frames
-Small portion of green and white stripes on each arm
-Believed to be Lacoste brand

If your child came home with glasses that don’t seem quite right or suddenly has an extra pair in their bag, please let me know. I’m sure the swimmer who has them might be struggling to see clearly right now! 😅

🌍💦 What an incredible weekend for Abby Campbell at the World Aquatics Swimming World Cup! Abby truly represented what it means to be a Lake Central Barracuda, showing hard work, heart, and determination every step of the way.

She placed 9th nationally in the 400 IM and wrapped up her weekend with a strong time drop in the 200 IM. Big things are definitely in store for Abby. This is only the beginning!

She’s paving the wave for more Barracudas to follow in her footsteps. We couldn’t be prouder! 💙

The 11/12 50 Freestyles kicked off our final day with speed, energy, and excitement! 🏊‍♂️💨 Our swimmers not only racked up lots of heat wins, but the deck was buzzing with cheers and team spirit all morning long! 🎉🙌
