Reminder for his upcoming hunting season!

Please be aware that there are now two options for hunting licenses/tags in Texas: digital and physical. Digital tagging requires you to have the TPWD app installed and available at the time of harvest in order to log it.

If you purchase physical tags you must have them on your person to tag your animals. We have had non residents come thinking they had a digital tag but they really had ordered physical tags (which got delivered to them after the hunt). They would then not be able to legally tag their harvest resulting in tickets. Not good!

We cannot allow you to harvest animals unless you have the appropriate license and tags ON YOUR PERSON. To make everyone’s lives simpler we suggest that non-residents order PHYSICAL tags at least a month before their hunt date or purchase them over the counter once in the state.

Good old fashioned paper has never let us down!

The bridge is finally open!

According to the@bowienews, “A new bridge built over Cobb Hollow Creek on Farm-to-Market Road 677 north of Saint Jo has been completed and is now open for traffic.

“The contractor still has some minor work to do like vegetation, and they will perform these jobs with a lane closure if needed.

“The new bridge spans Cobb Hollow Creek and is twice as long as the old one. The bridge was replaced by TxDOT.”

We are saddened to share the passing of one of our hunters. It was a pleasure to get to know him and his beautiful family. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this sorrowful time. We know Mr. Mike is hunting in the lords fields. He probably already got himself a trophy 💜
