Skye Richey’s full fight. I had to edit my previous post as he had an opponent change and he was not a blue belt. But regardless, Skye did amazing and I’m super proud and happy for him!

This man came to me a couple months ago and said he wanted me to help him with his ground work for his first mma fight. I hadn’t ever trained anyone on working jiu-jitsu in an mma setting, but I was definitely interested in the task. He listened to everything I said and put in so much work during his training that I had zero doubt he would end the fight if it went to the ground. And he did just that! In his mma debut fight, with only a couple months jiu-jitsu training, he won in the 2nd round via rear naked choke! Amazing work Skye and I wish I was able to be there in person!

Don’t forget, we now have 2 treadmills, 2 ellipticals, and a treadclimber. If you would like to come in and just use some of that exercise equipment, we have a membership option for that! let us know if that’s something you want to do!

We leveled up today!

Starting October 3rd we will have a basic self defense class on Mondays from 6:30-7:30 pm, right after the adult jiu-jitsu class. In this class we will go over techniques to help you protect yourself in the event you’re being attacked, such as defending against punches/kicks, how to escape if you’re being choked or pinned etc. Come check it out and learn the skills needed to give yourself a fighting chance in a bad situation!

Tough well rounded room tonight. Every takedown is earned. Every guard pass. Every submission. Training with athletes is just a different level of grappling.
