Bug blue got the royal treatment today with a deep clean spa day. Electric and water being run out to the dock and she will be all set up .

Spent my Sunday close to the surface of ☀️ putting the shade tree canopy over the boat.

Using the canopy on a multi purpose attack
1) shade to help jeep the boat easier to cool.
2) shade to protect the new canvas last fall
3) osprey has been eyeballing the mast so help keep bird p**p off the boat

We purchased the canopy last summer , had it on briefly but were worried it might catch wind during pop up storms and hit another boat. This new parking spot provides a lot of wind block and no neighbors to worry about.

Our 2 hour tour was exactly a 2 hour trip . No Gilligan Island run.

Captain seamlessly maneuvered us with a rising tide through some shallows and backed us into our new parking spot .

She needs a lot of cleaning after being vacated for 2 months , but still ran like a champ.

Next weekend we reunite with the boat and will make the short trip around St James City to bring big blue home. Dock is all finished with the exception of some ordered solar light caps.

Good strong dock with some high posts for hurricanes and surge.

We have been busy working on the land lovers house , hopefully the dock gets its permit within the next few weeks so we can move bessie to her new spot. Heres some pretty yellow crowned night herons that call the mangroves next to where the boat will be , home. Their pretty friendly and fun to watch.

One year ago today we officially became live aboard sailors. First stop was Port of Islands in Naples FL. We spent 8 months there and then made our way north for the New Year to Saint James City. We fell in love with the island pretty quick . Monday the 13th we will be officially closing in a new parking spot for the Island piglet in a tucked away cove . We will spend the rest of the year fixing up the dock, possibly renting out the extra slip, and becoming AIrBNB landlords. Heres to the future parking spot of Within Reach
