This is ruining youth wrestling.

Six year olds do not need private lessons five days a week.

They need to climb trees.
Play football at recess.
Lose.
Win.
Try different sports.

Early specialization does not create champions.

It creates burnout.

I have seen 12 year olds with perfect technique…

Who quit at 15.

Because wrestling became a job before it became a love.

If your child cannot miss a tournament without panic…

You have already gone too far.

Let them love the sport.

Do not suffocate it.

Congratulations to Brooks Atwood and Gunner Guymon, our two outstanding wrestlers of the week. Both of these young athletes have been part of our club for several years, benefiting from a strong family background in wrestling and the valuable guidance of their fathers as coaches. Brooks is a talented and enthusiastic individual with immense potential and a promising future. Gunner is rapidly developing into a highly skilled technical wrestler. Both boys embody the ideal qualities of a teammate and wrestler.

Our wrestlers of the week are Taylor Wood and Jett Andrews. Taylor, a second-year wrestler in our club, is demonstrating consistent improvement each week. Taylor's dedication to attending practices will undoubtedly yield positive results on the mat as he continues to develop in the sport. Jett, an eighth grader, is a talented wrestler, showcasing quickness and determination. We are proud of both of these young athletes. Congratulations.

As dedicated third-year wrestlers in our club, they have demonstrated unwavering commitment to their craft.
