Cheyenne County KS Fair Demo Derby

What a weekend. 85 total cars registered, some bumped up in classes after having bad luck or just to get more seat time or finish off a car having 89 make the arena. With 36 entries in the bonestock compacts we split them into a 1st time/rookie driver feature of 16 and the remaining 20 in a second feature. 7 heats, 89 cars, about 3.5 hours made for an action packed night. So many people to thank including many many sponsors, stay tuned for more posts on all of those.

The stage is set, the trophies are ready, the checks are accounted for, only two things await, the wrecking, and $31,000 going to new accounts in less than 24 hours.

Last year, we wanted our little spotenous auction to be a surprise, this year we hope everyone comes prepared with a stack of cash eager to spend! We also learned a hood is a bit of a difficult “wall hanger”. With the help of some friends we’ve got a new item, and plan. Thanks to Mike with Hilljob Graphix for making exactly what we had in mind.

✅The plan: to treat this custom roof sign (which could easily be set on a shelf or hung on a wall) like a traveling trophy, you buy it for a year, bring it back next August and we auction off again.

💰The money: will be deposited into a savings account for a college fund for Hudson Lane Hoffman

There was a lot of money paid out in the NWKS/Tri-State Area this past weekend, and in less than two weeks we get to do it right here in St. Francis, KS at the Cheyenne County Fairgrounds. 6 classes, one night, $30,000+ dollars. August 8th you know where to be!
